Ixelles, one of Brussels’ most vibrant cultural districts, is about to embark on a new cultural venture. The Flagey bookshop and the Varia are excited to launch their partnership.

"Belle Dame": The Inspired Work

At the heart of this first collaboration is Belle Dame, a fascinating play that draws its inspiration from Maryse Condé, Angela Davis, Estelle Sarah-Bulle and many other books exploring heritage and witchcraft. The result: a story on the edge of reality, recounting a quest for self-discovery in a captivating one-woman show. 

An Unmissable Event

To round off this collaboration, on 7 October from 7pm at Studio Varia, Flagey bookshop will be running a book stall alongside the final performance of "Belle Dame". An exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in the literary world that inspired this captivating play. You’ll be able to discover the books that fuelled the imagination of Jessica Fanhan and Fatou Traoré.
