Prices: pay what you can
For the new 2022–23 season, Théâtre Varia is delighted to be offering a ‘Pay What You Can’ pricing policy, following the example of other cultural institutions in Brussels such as the Kaaitheater, Atelier 210 and Le Rideau.
How does it work? For each performance, you can choose from several price options. The suggested price is underlined: this corresponds to the average price of a ticket. If a lower price makes it easier for you to attend the theatre, you are free to choose it. Alternatively, are you able to pay a little more for your ticket? By doing so, you enable others to pay a little less.
This decision to no longer impose a single ticket price is driven by a deep desire to open up to the world and help broaden our audience base. Gone are the days of traditional pricing based on age or socio-economic status! Everyone decides for themselves how much they can spend on a theatre ticket, whilst at the same time showing solidarity towards a culture accessible to all!
