👀 If you’re looking for an immersive work placement in the cultural sector for the 2024–25 academic year, in arts outreach or communications, you’re exactly the person we want to meet!
Le Varia, based in Brussels, is a performing arts centre run by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation that supports and promotes contemporary Belgian creativity. We have two performance spaces as well as rehearsal facilities, and our aim is to offer a varied programme that is open to new narratives and hybrid aesthetics. Together with our 11 associated artists and collectives, we invite audiences to explore the complexity of the world and celebrate the richness of our imaginations.
Whether through outreach or communications, we support a wide range of artists and unique projects whilst upholding the institution’s overall vision and ensuring the smooth running of the theatre season.
We have two opportunities to offer you:
An internship in mediation
for autumn 2024 or winter/spring 2025
- You will support the cultural outreach team in their fieldwork
- You will help organise current and future projects
- You will help welcome groups visiting the theatre
- You will contribute to discussions on tools and the archiving of outreach activities

for winter/spring 2025

- You will help organise current and upcoming projects
- You will contribute to discussions on communication tools and strategies
- You will help manage social media and create engaging content
- You will coordinate content management and updates on our website
- You will have close contact with the artists
