The Ambassadors for Civic Expression are opening a new exhibition on Palestine at the Varia
The Ambassadors of Citizen Expression have opened a new exhibition in the Varia bar, which naturally echoes the themes explored in Laboratoire Poison, but will be staying with us for several weeks. A space and a focus on Palestine, which will be at the heart of a project set to continue next season in the form of a show. "Cursed be the whisperers and the sleepers", inspired by their journey and Colum McCann’s novel "Apeirogon". We’ll tell you more about it very soon. 🍉

Empty: devoid of its contents.
But how can we speak of content and container when it comes to a land and its inhabitants? A land that has been meticulously and violently depopulated? Depopulated of those who, for centuries, have cultivated, cherished and nourished it.
If a nation is emptied by the hands of the oppressor, by its killer drones and bloody bombings, we call it genocide. It is destruction. Massive. The coloniser exhausts, drains, decides, digs, strips, displaces and murders.
Their settlements fill the landscape; their narrative dominates the discourse.
The occupier (the coloniser?) spreads their hatred to better embrace the expanses of stolen land.
The perpetrator of genocide dehumanises in order to erase more effectively.
They redact, they cross out, they execute without even hiding it. Without even being apprehended.
An exhibition to explore at Varia until the end of the season.
