Awaken Your Senses and Unleash Your Pen: Erotic Writing Workshop

As part of "Brèches", from 18 to 27 April at Studio Varia.

In a society where sensual desires are often suppressed and where people frequently face abuse related to their bodies, gender identity and sexual orientation, it becomes difficult to reconnect with oneself, one’s sensations and one’s fantasies. Clara Dietlin and Maia Silovy, psychologists specialising in sexual health at a family planning centre, devote their working lives to such crucial issues as sexuality and our relationship with our bodies. Together, they offer a unique workshop designed to reawaken your erotic imagination and reconnect you with your own body through sensual writing.

A Sensory and Creative Journey

The experience begins with a moment of calm where everyone takes the time to refocus on themselves and their senses. Then, opening up to the others present in the space, participants are invited to forge connections with the group through movement, thereby feeling the power of the group’s energy and awakening their own bodies through touch. All physical contact is preceded by explicit consent, which can be withdrawn at any time. It is also entirely possible to take part in this phase without having physical contact with others.

Writing as Intimate Exploration

Drawing inspiration from the sensations experienced during this sensory exploration, participants will be guided in writing erotic texts. The workshop will conclude with an optional sharing of these writings for those who wish to do so.

Practical Information

As places are limited, advance registration is required via email: reservation@varia.be. Please note that participation in this workshop requires attendance at the performance "Brèches". Participants will only be required to pay for the performance, on a "pay what you can" basis.

What is a Fabrique?

Following on from several performances, the Fabriques offer a unique opportunity to delve into the heart of the creative process. These special sessions allow for an intimate dialogue with the featured artists, an insight into their working methods, and a chance to experience their expertise. Specially selected facilitators will lead these workshops, which are open to adults and families alike, in a friendly atmosphere.
