Summary

Véda doesn’t live alone in her caravan. The real owners of the place are the mûchettes, little furry creatures who wake up at night and spend all their time drawing. Day after day, she discovers their adventures, scribbled all over her home. Among the mûchettes, each with a strong personality, are Gigi and her little brother Michto, who put on shows for their fellow mûchettes, and Boubouc, the eternally dissatisfied one who dreams of expanding his wealth. With infectious joy, Véda recounts the escapades of her funny flatmates.

Upon entering the room, we leave behind our shoes, our coats, and reality as we know it. We step into the world created by the little flies, nestled within the cracks of the adult world. Somewhere between a fairy tale and a comic strip, this world unfolds through ingenious staging, a veritable treasure trove of inventiveness. Juggling words and characters, Aline Mahaux takes us on an extraordinary journey where imagination reigns supreme. From one story to the next, a reflection is woven on our relationships with others, on possessions and power, in an ode to the innocence and cruelty of childhood.

La Caravane des Mûchettes is back in the Studio’s courtyard, following a first stop last season during the Métamorphose Festival. This immersive show invites young audiences to a timeless moment, where the intimacy of the space enhances the power of the shared stories.

The inspiration for this story comes from a news item in Germany: one day, a father in Berlin started wearing dresses out of solidarity with his son, who wanted to dress only in that way. Working in perfect harmony, Clément Thirion and Marie Henry have crafted a colourful and joyful story about our relationship with social norms.
