Summary

A pirate radio station hidden away in a convent. A nun makes an appeal over the airwaves. She is seeking answers regarding a local news story that took place within these walls years ago. A woman arrives. Then two, then three. Torn between despair and unsettling fantasy, they attempt to separate fact from fiction, conjuring up memories and tales surrounding this unsolved mystery. Through their erratic investigation, they take us into the depths of their innermost mysticism.

Can one reconcile one’s faith with a life deemed ‘deviant’? How can one believe whilst being excluded from God’s love? Is there any compatibility between queerness and religiosity? Through fragmented storytelling and explosive theatricality, *The Glorious Procession of the False and Sad Nuns* brings together past and present, ghosts and the living in a mysterious studio. From it spring forth tales of stifled dissent – raw blocks of desire, cruelty and rebellion. Here, women can exist in all their grandiloquence, vulnerability or strangeness. Subversive, they invite us to take a free and sensitive look at the weight of convention.

Following *La Litanie des Agonisantes*, the Helen Zaas company continues to explore the notion of the sacred, this time combining it with lesbian love. Through stories blending religiosity and marginality, this new creation instils in us the urgency to reclaim our religious heritage, no longer solely through beliefs and dogmas, but through the liberating prism of tales of defiance. By freeing the figure of the nun from the shackles in which she is usually confined, La glorieuse procession des fausses et tristes nonnes creates openings of freedom and joy, paving the way for new beguines and an uninhibited spirituality.

Château Faible (The Pathetic Epic) is a celebration of cowardice, a silent and offbeat tale set in the Middle Ages. It is a world steeped in chivalric fantasy, yet one in which strength is held up to ridicule.

The title sets the tone: a delightful play on words, a portmanteau of ‘multiverse’ and ‘sausage’. Parallel universes overlap in garish colours; a journey of discovery begins, inviting the player to take the plunge into a digital vortex: this is the story of a butcher’s daughter who rebels against a predetermined path.
